Hi Lovelies!
How have you all been? Trust you had a great Easter celebration. Well, I did! Over the past few weeks, there has been a lot of decluttering going on around our home and I am just grateful for the strength to pull this through. Enjoying a 100% clutter-free home is one of my top goals in 2019 and it is safe to say we are very close.

Although I didn’t do much sewing for myself as I would have loved to in this month, I am happy to be able to share with you this beautiful circle skirt. I chose this design to practice one of the lessons I learnt recently in my online pattern making class. Normally, I would do free hand-cutting for my circle skirt and end up with three pieces. But, in this case, I drafted a pattern using some proven Mathematical formula based on my waist measurement plus ease. I then used the pattern to cut four pieces that I joined together to make my circle skirt. I realized cutting four pieces as opposed to three pieces gave the skirt a more interesting silhouette which i definitely appreciated more. I plan on getting more creative with these four pieces next time by doing some colour blocking or perhaps alternating with different fabrics. what do you think?

Needless to say, this skirt has side pockets! You know I love a garment with good pockets. This is one of the privileges I enjoy as my own designer…lol. Lest I forget, I got this fabric from Overseas fabrics, a local fabric store here in Abbotsford.

I really appreciate you taking time to stop by today. Blessings!
