Hi LOVES! It’s official, we are in Spring and I am simply loving it. What I love most about Spring is the fact that it’s an in-between weather; neither too hot nor too cold!
I am trying to ensure the fabrics in my stash get sewn before I move on to purchase new ones. I know the temptation to keep on gathering fabrics is always out there but I am determined not to fall for it. I got this white ribknit from my local thrift store sometime last year and decided to make a dress out of it. Like I said before, I am getting more comfortable working with knits. So, this is another shot at it. I combined the rib knit with a red flowery linen fabric which I also got from the thrift store. I designed a high low peplum for my DIY FLORAL VELVET PEPLUM DRESS but I made a mistake along the line. So, in order to make up for that error, I designed the hem of this dress to have a high low peplum. This time around, I ensured I got the high low peplum right. I am absolutely satisfied with the outcome of the dress.
